My senior sessions are for high school seniors who want portraits that actually look like them, and for parents who want to remember this year well.
For seniors: You don't have to be a model or love the camera. We'll talk about your style, your favorite things, and the places that feel like you. Bring your letter jacket, your guitar, your horse, or your best friend's dog. If it's part of your story, it belongs in your photos.
For moms: You've been planning for this year since kindergarten drop-off. I take care of the details, keep things easy and fun for your senior, and help you choose prints for the grad party, announcements, and your own shelves. You get to enjoy it instead of manage it.

Within two weeks, you'll get to see your images through a slideshow in the comfort of your own home, and have the freedom to keep just what you love.
And if you want to print for your wall, I'm here for you. You'll never have to guess what size works over the sofa.
3. Choose what you love!
We keep it relaxed and fun. No stiff poses, plenty of time to get comfortable. Mom is encouraged to come along.
We'll talk about your senior's personality, outfits, locations, and any props or activities that tell their story. Your date is reserved once your session fee is in.
You'll get my senior prep guide with outfit ideas and tips, and I'm always happy to look at options ahead of time.

2. Your session day!
Downtown Geneva, the Fox River, open fields, or a spot that means something to your senior. Spring and fall bring the best light and color, so those dates go quickly.

I photograph seniors from Geneva High School, Batavia High School, St. Charles North, St. Charles East, Wheaton Academy, and schools throughout the western suburbs.
The studio is perfect for polished, classic portraits and the headshot-style image every senior needs for the yearbook, LinkedIn, and college applications. It also means weather never cancels your plans.

Senior portraits can be photographed in my Geneva studio or at an outdoor location nearby, or both.

Most senior sessions end with printed pieces: tabletop prints, a grad party display, and graduation announcements to send to family and friends.
The grad party is where everyone sees these portraits. Grandparents, teachers, neighbors, and friends will walk past your display all afternoon. I'll help you plan a set of prints that looks beautiful together on the table, plus a few smaller pieces for Grandma's mantel and your senior's dorm room.
Announcements are designed with you and printed on quality paper, so the portrait you love is the one everyone receives.

Get a good night's sleep and drink plenty of water
Bring outfits on hangers so they stay wrinkle-free
Get a haircut about a week before, not the day before
Bring anything meaningful: an instrument, a jersey, a favorite book
A few easy prep tips:
The best senior portrait outfits are clothes you feel confident in, usually two or three looks that range from casual to dressed up, in solid colors or subtle patterns without large logos.
A good mix is one everyday outfit that feels like you, one dressier look, and one that shows off something you love, like a sports uniform, letter jacket, or team colors. Fit matters more than brand, so try everything on a few days ahead.
