My family sessions are made for families with kids in elementary school through high school, usually four to six people. Most families come to me when something tells them it's time:
• Your oldest is a senior and this might be the last portrait before college
• The grandparents are in town and everyone is finally in one place
• You want a Christmas card that's worth framing after the holidays
• You realized the last real family photo is from when the kids were little
If you're looking for a quick photo to check off a list, I may not be the right fit (check my mini sessions page). My favorite families are the ones who want to slow down, enjoy the experience, and walk away with something beautiful on their walls.

And if you want to print for your wall, I'm here for you. You'll never have to guess what size works over the sofa.

I keep things relaxed and fun. Kids are allowed to be kids, and you get to actually be in the photos for once.
Your family’s story deserves more than a quick photo update—it deserves to be captured in a way that feels natural, joyful, and true to you.
We'll chat about your family, what you love, and how you want to enjoy your portraits. This is where we decide on the studio, an outdoor location, or both.
I'll help with timing, wardrobe, and all the little details so nobody walks in stressed. Your session is reserved once your retainer is in.

2. Your session day!
When the weather cooperates, we can head out along the Fox River or to a favorite spot in Geneva, Batavia, or St. Charles. Fall is the most popular season, so I recommend booking early in the summer if you're hoping for autumn color.

Families come to me from Geneva, Batavia, St. Charles, Wheaton, Elburn, North Aurora, and throughout the western suburbs.
The studio gives us beautiful, consistent light in any season and any weather. It's where timeless, gallery-style portraits come to life, the kind that look just as good in twenty years as they do today.

Within two weeks of your session, you'll be able to view your images together in the comfort of your own home via a slideshow. From there you can select whether you'd like printed artwork, and album, or just digital images.

No, I don't photograph newborns. I'm happy to photograph families with older babies, toddlers, and kids of every age.

Absolutely! Dogs are welcome in my studio, but not all outdoor locations allow dogs. Let me know if you want to include your furry family members and we can make that happen!

Book fall family portraits by late summer for the best choice of dates. Fall is my busiest season and prime weekend evenings fill first. We put together an extensive outfit suggestion guide with tips for every member of the family (even Fido!)
